Case Study

Pandadoc

building a loyal audience

Just because you film it, doesn't mean customers will watch it. We helped PandaDoc transform hours of customer interviews into six short, sharp and snackable stories. Then, we created a punchy product demo to guide users through the sales cycle. (Those users are now raving fans.)

Sitting on hours of customer stories, Pandadoc needed to craft a cohesive narrative out of an hour-long interview and make it visually interesting.

Problem
Lots of video content,
very little audience

PandaDoc has happy customers. PandaDoc has video interviews of happy customers. But they needed a better way to tell their story.

Process
A collaborative, user-friendly flight plan

First, we hopped on a discovery call to learn more about PandaDoc’s goals for this video project. Did we need to film any additional footage? How much animation did they want to see in these videos? We developed mood boards to make sure we had the vibe locked in.

Then, the PandaDoc team sat back and relaxed while we put together their zoom interviews into a collection of customer stories. The PandaDoc team dropped comments and within 6 weeks, they had gone from having long, hour-long conversations into short, compelling stories ready to share with the world.

Solution

Bite-sized stories that put customers first

Enter Failure Island. With our help, PandaDoc had a library of 6 engaging customer stories to share in their Youtube library. And share they did—the new videos caught 28,000 eyes in the first year.

Additional Work

Next up: A Punchy Product Demo

The process was so seamless that we started on the next project right away: a PandaDoc product demo. A PandaDoc sales manager flew out to NYC, shot a product demo in less than 2 hours in the F/I studio and just like that—PandaDoc had a persuasive product demo on its site.

Millie's Giving Madness!
Failure Island teamed up with Millie to announce Giving Madness! Giving Madness is a bracket-style giving tournament. Companies start with 16 nonprofits in the giving bracket and contribute to a donation pool. Employees vote to advance their favorite nonprofits through four rounds of “games" over the course of one week or month. After the championship game, the pool gets divided up and donated proportionately. Millie is a social impact platform designed to make charitable giving fun, accessible and impactful.
